The leading cause of morbidity and mortality, in the USA & Worldwide, is Cardiovascular Disease.

For the past 40 years we have missed the target, focusing on only several causes of cardiovascular disease, instead of addressing the ROOT Cause of Cardiovascular Disease, INFLAMMATION, specifically Affecting the internal layer of our arteries.

Cardiovascular Disease encompasses a large spectrum of causes, with Cholesterol, Hypertension and Diabetes representing only the tip of the Iceberg. The common denominator becomes Inflammation on the inner lining of our arteries, causing plaque buildup, and subsequently decreased blood flow to our Organs; and when the Coronary Arteries are affected, we encounter significant morbidity and mortality (Heart Attacks, Heart Failure, etc.). Blocked Coronary Arteries do not occur overnight, as it’s our daily habits over years which contribute to coronary artery disease. Start Lowering your inflammation TODAY !

Thus, besides Chronic Inflammation (Oxidation / Oxidative Stress) being the ROOT Cause of the #1 Cause of Morbidity and Mortality, Cardiovascular Disease, Inflammation also remains a significant factor in many / most other Medical Disorders. Everything from Auto-Immune Disorders to Cancer are impacted by chronic elevated levels of Inflammation (Oxidative Stress).

Lowering your Inflammation remains a significantly overlooked factor in our daily routines. As we age, the balance between endogenous antioxidants produced by our bodies, and cellular inflammation / oxidative stress caused by external and internal stressors {toxins, environmental, psychological stress, Our bodies biochemical reactions and cellular energy production, the sun, exercise (yes exercise raises inflammation) etc.} becomes offset and we accumulate more cellular inflammation as we age. Yes blueberries and other foods help as antioxidants in lowering inflammation, however, no matter how many antioxidants we ingest we can never offset our endogenous (our internal production of) ability to produce antioxidants which lowers significantly as we age. This lowering of our endogenous ability to produce antioxidants is a major factor involved in cellular aging and disease.

Thus, LOWER YOUR INFLAMMATION AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ON A DAILY BASIS, by a variety of means and mechanisms, not only to prevent disease, however, also to improve your Well-Being, and improve your Quality of Life.

Hand in Hand with Lowering your inflammation, is ingesting nutrient dense foods which deliver maximum amounts of highly absorbable vitamins and minerals; this allows your cells to function optimally, yielding less endogenous oxidative stress (chronic inflammation).

Eating an extremely pure and healthy diet is important, as polyphenols and other compounds we ingest from fruits and vegetables are anti-inflammatory / anti-oxidant compounds; however, since we can never lower our inflammation too much / enough, and inflammation remains the ROOT Cause to disease, why not supplement your diet with compounds which lower your inflammation further than what your diet is accomplishing.

Simply because you may have normal levels of inflammatory biomarkers on your bloodwork, such as: CRP, ESR, PCT, Specific WBC levels; this doesn’t mean you are “perfect”. Your body still has cellular inflammation which needs to be addressed and lowered. No matter how much we lower our internal “Silent Inflammation”, we can never lower it to Zero. Therefore, keep striving to lower your inflammation on a daily basis.

This remains the primary premise of why we have not made a significant impact on the prevalence, prevention and complications from chronic diseases (Cardiovascular being the Primary) over the past 40 years. We simply are not lowering our Inflammation Enough. Yes, a healthy diet lowers it, however, it is not enough. Inflammation (Oxidation / Oxidative Stress) remains the top stressor to our cells causing disease.
